Movie review - 10 best films - Ladyhawke (1985)

High on my list of the 10 best films ever, is 1985s Ladyhawke starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Matthew Broderick, Rutger Hauer, and the incomparable Leo McKern.

We watched it again this evening, and even after thirty years, the film hasn't lost is freshness.

Michelle Pfeiffer has an ethereal beauty about her in this film that is truly amazing.

Rutger Hauer is as ruggedly handsome as always, and Matthew Broderick provides comic relief as the petty thief Philippe Gaston.  Leo McKern is, of course, wonderful at any character he portrays, be it Rumpole of the Baily, or an old Monk in a deserted monastery.
