The Donald Strachey movies with Chad Allen

Starting in the early eighties, author Richard Stevenson wrote a series of detective novels, featuring Donald Strachey, PI.  I read the books as they came out, and thought they were very well done.

In 2005, the first of four Strachey movies, starring Chad Allen in the title role, was released:

The second film, Shock to the System, came out the next year

The third film was titled On the Other Hand, Death, and was released a couple of years later

And the final film in 2008, was Ice Blues

All four of the films were very well done, and had a great cast.  In addition to Chad Allen, as Donald Strachey, they featured Sebastian Spence as his partner, Timothy Callahan.

Rumor had it that the stars had signed on for more of the films, but they never happened.  Which is kind of sad.
